Star Path Series - This multi book series features Maddie Morrison, an average kid, having some challenges at school and in life. She feels isolated and alone in her challenges. Maddie questions herself and worries about what she can do to fix her challenges. When she spends time with her grandmother, she shares her troubles.

Maddie’s grandmother is a bookstore owner who has a special dog named Arrow. Her grandmother shares her own thoughts and advice, but she also shares a book with Maddie that includes stories of magical creatures from around the world. The stories revolve around the importance of magic and belief.

This leads to unbelievable journeys during the night for Maddie and Arrow, following a path of stars to other countries where Maddie is asked to help restore magic to the world. She makes friends along the way who are looking for similar answers.

Together, they travel through magical versions of historical sites around the world in order to complete quests and defeat the entities who enjoy chaos. They are forced to solve clues and use their own resources to travel to famous sites and work to help to save the magic.  Along the way, they meet characters from folktales and mythology who assist them on their journey.

In the end, lightness wins over darkness, and Maddie and her friends learn to believe in themselves as much as they believe in the power of magic.
